I just discovered about the Execution 1941 painting.

This is the work of Eugene Kazantsev.
Titled "The Barbarossa plan"
One and only war scene, too sad.

I continue to discover actual survivors who stripped naked and were shot.
Lying naked and wounded inside the pits, they crawl out and testify later after the war.
Mostly women, I do believe women can take more abuse and pain than men.
