However, surrounded by batons, beatings and K9 dogs, the torture would seem endless.
Move move move! Schnell ! Would echo in the forests.

Survivor artist David Olere has made many artistic drawings and paintings of what he had witnessed. Some critic his art choice of models as "too sexual and curvy".

I wish to depict ALL shapes and sizes to reflect history.

I shiver by the brutal history, yet I cannot avert my eyes:

No difference was made between age nor sex. Orders were orders.
The Jeweler pushed against the seamstress.
The blacksmith beside the neighbor's daughter.
Brutal punches and beatings gave no other options
By this point, torture and fear ruled over their shy bashful nakedness.
In the end all are silent, mixed together as equals.

A scene just 75 meters from the pits:

Discarded clothing, many loaded with money and jewelry.
Diamonds hidden away in secret pockets of adult AND children clothing.
Found valuables went to Berlin and the clothing was distributed between the local populations.

If the pits are left open, or not covered properly, some locals will visit and prospect the dead.
Harvesting the dead for gold teeth and misc jewelry.
The naked corpses would be violated further, distorted faces would tell the trespass violations.
During war, a gold tooth could provide a week of food!!!
